My Portfolio
As life happens, I finally managed to peruse my artistic path following my retirement a few years ago. I always enjoyed creating and building with my hands and started restoring and reupholstering tired and worn vintage furniture pieces. After a visit to Dale Chihuly’s Sculpture exhibition in Kew Gardens in Richmond and Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Cornwall, I was inspired to start developing my own sculptural objects for exterior spaces. My early fascination for tribal artforms has led me to create a collection of masks and totems which later led me to evolve my own designs. In my studio I experiment with various sculpting techniques and materials such as concrete, timber and drift wood. Most of my sculptures are weather resistant and are happy to live outdoors as decorative objects.
